Im useing a whole YZ D 400 front end. The original front ends in these are being used for CCM replica's and are expensive and hard to find. Hence why I'm making a HOT Rod as it's a mish mash of parts.

What colour or finish on the spokes?
They look good but I'd be interested to find out if the powder coat cracks when the spokes are at full tension, you may not find that out until you ride it.
That's probably a fair price going on what I've been charged by coaters here in SYD.
-
The spokes are S/S the colour of the hubs is candy apple red and in the Sun they look just like toffy apples

That sounds like a fair price if they did the frame as well :o
Allthough if they had to do a special run for the colour then the price is a bit more justified
-
I should rephrase that.
A going market price here in SYD, unless mr Rick Shaw is operating in you area.
As you said Geoff, if they have your chosen colour in their gun then it's a different story.
Combined with S/S spokes & black rims, I like it.

They Charged me $100 just for the powder coating , I supplied the powder which I bought on E bay for $25.00 ( still have some left )
They did have to change the colour and clean the gun. I think they charged a bit to much but there the only local guys who do it.

some powdercoaters charge a std minimum cost, where i used before was $100,now it's $150,putting that into perspective, take as much as you can! it costs the same for 2 hubs as it does to do the frame,s/arm ,plus shipload of fiddly bits as well, :P
