Way cool 8) double the dirt ?
-
Cool fun ahead....Did you just whip that up over the weekend Doc, for Dodgee ?
cheers A

:D nooooo Alison..it's all new technology to me. I really like dirt track/speedway and always wanted to have a try on a slider instead of the converted MX'ers but never had ( or chased) the opportunity. Same as always, never say never I guess :)
Bill, Double the Dirt, DT titles...hmmmm.. :-X
-
Thats a wilde little ride. Methanol?

Doc on a more seroius note.I have just recieved my ebay copy of Jim Scaysbrooks AM Heritage and noted that Ray Owens won a unlimited title on one of these little 125's....go for it make us proud ;D :-*
-
Ray Owen was actually riding a 500 JAP to win the Unlimited title in 67, sorry Alison.
I don't know what 125 he was riding, I'm in contact with Les Burdus, he won the 500 ( Senior ) title the same year, he finished second in the unlimited.
Les rode my fathers bikes for a while and was riding dads Tiger 100 Trumpy to win the 7 Hour race at Muswellbrook in 62.
We're all looking forward to seeing you ride that at the Titles Doc.

An TM or RM engine would look pretty good in that… back to the QLD Suzuki mad scientists…
Or put a TS in it and get it road registered… come on Dodgee you know you want too!!
-
Nice Dodgy - a turn to the dark side however from your yello roots.
Could be a couple of new sliders at the nats this year by looks of it ::)
-
very Similar rear frame loop Dave. ??
fellas in the Freaky Dt camp, We need to get onto Dogee and find out the specs on the seat and the rear guard ??? makers marks, size anything .... so we can lock onto them. Look like standard grasstrack but need to be sure of the fitment.

-
seat and guards are std hagon stuff aviable from matcho mick
-
The rear guard is definitely a standard Hagon one but lose those big ugly square plates, I always hated it when we had to fit those. I'm not sure about the front guard, I reckon the shorter fibreglass ones looked heaps better.
-
Calm down Kerry, its a honda; its OK
The Team Kawasaki factory race (thats Gold Coast Factory) bike will be ready for the Nats and you 2 can start the resurgance of pre 75 125cc sliders
The team of mechanics you have employed are here for you and will have created a machine not in keeping with your standards of fettle.
-
By shear coincidence Dodgee has some serious roots in dirt track :-X...could well put a cat amongst the pigeons. Watch this space ;)
off topic slightly..how I'd love to stumble onto something like this below 8)

Fettle ??
-
freaky you are too young to understand fettle
-
where do i get a proper frt guard from and i have taken the square plates of rear guard.
-
matcho mick has all molds for this stuff
-
Fettle ??
'to prepare for use' :D
-
Wayne, Jim's right, Matcho Mick is the man for glass repro. Just had a couple of a RM80N guards made from what I considered a fairly rough mould I'd won on fleabay for 99 cents and they turned out much better than I expected 8)
-
See it thought fettle was to like cobble together ? which i think has been my previous failing at the last 2 nats where shit failed to work. So maybe its better i leave this one in the hands of the factory to prepare............

Kerry
I note your up graded picture - one feels your getting a tad excited at the prospect of the mighty Kawasaki. Its hard being green.

I'm mesmerised by the newly emerging Felix and Oscar like race team powerhouse combo of Freaky and Dave. Be afraid. ;D
-
i thought he was more like Topcat ( as in cartoon) and me more like garfield. :o
like they say 'potential and 50 cents' get you a sundae at maccas.......
mesmerised ??? what like an old dog on the front porch. ;D
but i do like 'powerhouse combo" phrase , sounds good.... but hard to live up to though.
IF we get my shit together , i might see if the guys can post up, the KX125 slider thread. or as dave says " project freaky to the nats............... updating thread. ;)
-
