Title: Bracket gizmo ID
Post by: firko on February 05, 2011, 09:10:14 pm
I guess this might seem a dumb kind of request but does anybody know what the bracket below is called and where I can buy them? I need some to mount the side panels on my Hindall but don't know what to write in the eBay search :-[.
The gizmo's aprox 20mm wide and is 25mm ID, is made from stainless steel and is rubber coated. The hole is 5/16". This one was fitted to my Hindall and has a 25c price tag sticker on it.

Firko, ENZED sell them. They are called 'P' clips - go figure! Heaps of sizes available.

you may be able to get them from electrical wholesalers (Middys, Lawrence and Hansen, etc) or plumbing suppliers

Autobarn, Autopro, Repco etc. They are more commonly known as cushion clamps. I bought an assortment box with plenty of sizes from an Autopro store not so long ago.
Cheers,
K

It just goes to show...I've been building old bikes and cars for thirty years and I never knew what these things were called and having a few spare, I'd never needed to buy them before. I'm a smarter fella this morning thanks to you guys. ;D
