Title: RM250T 1980
Post by: Quicksilver on August 05, 2007, 05:10:03 pm
Some of the Suzuki guys may remember on old forums I was chasing an RM250T engine and pipe for my 250T roller. Im pleased to report I have found them. Not just any T engine but the ORIGINAL out of my bike.. ;D

Its completely pulled apart and badly needs a rod kit. Can anyone help with info on where I might purchase such a kit? Also will need complete gasket set. Thanks guys.

Where did I find the original engine. Long story but worth the effort. Basicly back tracking owners one by one untill someone remembered something. In fact the bloke I got the RM500 from knew a bloke that knew a guy that had it. Small country towns. ;) gotta love em..

Just a note Quickie, with rods  quite often there is a modern equivalent, from the ATV,Jet Ski, Snowmobile worlds just a matter of measuring and comparing dimensions.
Haven't bought a genuine gasket in 10 years got heaps of copper sheet here and I go to a shop to pick up gasket paper in various thickness.Your gasket set is just a set of cheapie wad punches and scissor snips away.
