Title: 360 barrel onto 250 cases?

If I'm not mistaken, the 360 head only bolt to a 360 barrel but the 360 barrel and head can be bolted onto the 250 cases, (with 360 crank ah derh!!! :D).

Right or wrong ???

i'll assume your talking about the 'A' model engine.
i know firko talked about the reverse with the DT/RT1 engines, as in 250 top end on 360 bottom end with a spacer fitted.
i'm yet to dive into the open class 'A' model engines but i thought the centre cases were different from 250 to 360.
curious too...

360A has 6 barrel studs, 250A has 4, both have 6 studs for the head
