Hi all, thought I put up this post to try to find out what race meetings & clubs may be happening in and around Adelaide in the near future?
I don't have any bikes myself at the moment. But I'd like to rectify that asap. But in the meantime, I'm happy to come along and wave a flag, knock posts in etc at a meeting if required.
My nearest train station is Glanville, but CBD is pretty close too. So any locations/event dates/meet up details would be welcomed.
Thanks,
Nathan (HBS).

Hi Shane, nice to hear from you. Yes, I have relocated to Adelaide. I didn't really want to leave Tassie. :( I really liked the place. But there was no way for me to progress my working career upwards at UTAS. So when an oppoprtunity came up at UofA, it seemed a good idea to accept the position and move my sorry south-west London arse to Adelaide. Nothing wrong with Tassie though mate. Just sorry I didn't get a chance to ride at one of your clubs meetings. Hope your eye situation is now fully sorted out. :)
Thanks for the "heads up" LWC82PE I'll keep an eye out for meetings at Crystal Brook and ACUSA Park. :)
Great, thanks for the link VMX247, I'll investigate and find out what suitable clubs are near to me. :)

It sounds a bit like you don't have a car but if you can make it over the border in July then I would highly you recommend check out the Harrow Vinduro.
It may well be Vics closest event to Adelaide.

Hi GMC, thanks for the Vinduro info. That looks like a good event. Luckily, I do have a car (with a towbar!). It's just that I currently don't have a bike. So I may well check out the Vinduro, hopefully I'll be organised enough by then to have a bike and enter the event myself.

While riding is always a bonus the important thing is to be there the night before for the pub meal and camp fire yarns

hey, also we have 5 rounds or Dirt track, lazy mans mx, if you have a Ma licence i might be able to lend you a pre 75 bike.
racing is mostly down south or up the freeway, or hitch a ride with me. also we have some ride days and one off chap events.
for us its a winter sport so wont be riding until the fire bans finish, believe first round are march/april.
i thkn we have to provide our own flaggy so if you like day trips you might be my man :O)

Hi Chris, gave your number a call, but you must be busy. I'll give it another go tomorrow eve.
Hi Freaky, I don't have an MA licence at the moment. But that should easily be rectified (I'd like to think), I'll investigate. Thanks for the offer of a lend bike. I've no problem flagging or knocking in poles whilst I don't have a bike myself. I know what it's like to try and find flaggies for races.
Regards,
Nathan (HBS).
