Is there any real advantage in running these rather than just the rear plug?
From what I can see the plug is closer to vertical at the front of the pocket than either of the twin plugs
-
There is know advantage, the second plug was there as a back up if the main one fowled up with carbon.
-
Wouldn't the other plug foul as well?
-
Connect them both and have super spark!. A third central plug is optional ;D
I actually don't think there is a lot of advantage :-\ I dropped in to see what Loz had to say but he isn't here yet obviously ;)

most of the cz weedys in the usa run just the back plug.cz did away with the duel firing ignition system.i am thinking of getting my squish changed and just 1 plug hole

I have owned CZ that ran two coils, both plugs sparking at the same time.

If I had some info on the welding up & remachining of a twin plug head to a hemispherical chamber like shown in VMX #43 I would be tempted to do that at work but instead I've got a 74 model head coming, looks like the pocket would be the same as the earlier models
My memory of the front plug fouling with the dual plug ignition was that the bike almost wouldn't run, still having the standard Jikov may have also had something to do with it. It would always involve stopping & holding the throttle wide open until things cleared out
