Do you win a prize?....if it's a Yamaha, they have the first 3 digits (numbers or letters numbers) stamped on them...ie...509=MX250B....431=YZ250A....537=YZ125C.....3R4=YZ250G? ect...
-
Davey...Only a night out with Miranda Kerr ;D although she won't be doing any riding for a little while ;)
I'm thinking mini but i couldn't see any # stamped on it but will look again tomorrow...it had nice spider webs in it.
Another mystery part that was sitting in the shed and have no idea where it came from.
cheers..mario

It's come off an old 4 stroke trail bike, looks like it's got the mixture screw under the intake venturi ala 4stroke.
-
Looks abit like the YZ50 carby posted up the other day someone was after...could be a TY carby aswell....wheres our caped crusader Nathan?
-
Dont spoil the fun for us dumb dumb's JohnnyO, we could make this 27 pages long.....now go fix up 5 of your bikes!!! ;D
-
TY175s have a 24mm carby, so its not one of them.
The float bowl doesn't look very Yamaha at all.
The rib around the top part of the body looks like a Kawasaki Mikuni.
Stab in the dark: Kawi F11 or F7??
-
Well get to the second page soon ;D....sorry Mario.....wheres Doc the Kawasaki guru.....
-
LOL.....Does the TK mean something to a particular model?
I just know the usual mikuni, keihin, bing, etc
-
I see the Vandenmister lurking in here now.......I know my TY350 has a TK on it...I think TK's where common in the 80's and onwards.....low performance and trail bikes.
-
hmmm......maybe DS80? The DS barrel i gave to Doc,it could have been in that stash.
Is the Doctor in the house????????

Nah, the YZ 50 has the drain bolt on the side. This one slightly different :-\
-
Yeah thats why i started looking in the shed to see if i had anything for you YZH.
Oh well i knew it wasn't YZ as my YZ80 is mikuni.
-
Thanks Bloke - much appreciated. Found one as you are probably aware - all good now

Mario, that carb isn't DS80 nor is it F11 or F7 Kawasaki (the later is a rotary valve) I'd go with Johnny O in it being from a fourstroke possibly an atv. TK carbs wearn't used much by the jap big 4 as a rule, there were a few exceptions but these are mainly of the CV type on streetbikes. The way the overflow points straight down to me indicates it's probably a 4t carb as 2 bangers don't have a lot of space under the bowl to clear such protrusions. The external choke indicates it is not from a rotary valve engine and at 27mm it is too big to be a regular 125/80 or 50 carb. May even be off something like a Yam YFM200 trike or something like that :-\ I can honestly say I simply do not know ;)
late edit..after a bit of sniffing around it appears to be from a 1985 YAMAHA BW200 BW 200 (Big Wheel) ;)

Should be worth an absolute fortune then....for someone with a BW200 ::)
I wonder what other Yamaha used that engine in another shape, way or form?
Thanks Chris for the home work ;D

when i saw it it reminded of a bike i rode a bit in early eighties the old XT200 every thing looks right but cant decide if it had a screw on top or a funny flat top with two screws.
