Bummer :'(....Sherbet base player Harvey James also dropped off the perch yesterday making it a crook day for 70's Aussie rock music fans.

Yes ,but could what the FIZZ kids played be classed as oz ROCK. I think not .

OK, substitute the word Pop for Rock when it comes to Sherbet.  ;D
I used to think they were a girly band until I saw them live and realise what excellent musos they were. Daryl Braithwaite went to my school, a year ahead of me. He was more a footy head in those days, he played in the rugby first XV and was pretty handy with ball in hand. I saw him at a super 14 game last year so it seems he's still a footy head.

He also had quite a way with the ladeeez.  ;)

Very sad day, he lived in the Southern Highlands near Sydney. My brother was only talking to him in December last year and the spooky thing is his brother also died last year of a brain tumor.
They were also related Mr J. A. Prestwich of JAP engine fame.

jimmy barnes also lived or may still live in nsw southern highlands.cheers
