Speedway shop or a place that specializes in stuff for drag bikes? Dont know if such a thing exists. Do you know the seal material it has to be to be methanol resistant?

My first suggestion is something with Viton seals as that resists normal fuel but im not sure they handle methanol. Are the normal aftermarket Tri/Nor/BSA taps OK? i know they are a lot better than the original english taps.

Yeah we have tried the taps you see on ebay even they are no good for avgas the hole blocks up after a short time you have to heat up a drill bit or something to open the hole up, the million dollar ? is what seal type is methanol resistant anyone?.

The ones on my slider are simple ball valves, the ones sold for air lines etc.
They have a chrome hexagon shaped body, with a red plastic lever on/off.
So far after about 5 years they are still fine, with no leaks or probs.
I got them from Scotts Auto One in Penrith. They are available also at any Auto paint shop supplier.
cheers, pancho.

i bought some taps recently from one of them Hydrolic airhose fitting and agricultural places, big company name, just cant think of it off the top of me head, but the fittings are like gas fitting but metal , aslo try the plastic ones for model aircrafts/ lawn mower machines with the red tap, about $2.50 and i have had the same one on for 2 years ( bought 3 at the time incase they melted- so far havent needed to)

Yes good point the standard bsa taps flow about 400mls/min each which is good when you have 2 taps the carby only flows about 400mls/min so you have a bit up your sleeve, but yes the 1/4 inch steel or brass types are even better with a hard type of seal with full flow and not a rubber type seal like the beeza ones
