For a mate, he will also consider both cases or complete motor.
Hell, he may even buy another complete bike, i think he's trying to corner the market in obscure unsought after models ;D
-
strange characteristics he has - would be a good mate of yours eh Geoff!
happy New Year mate ;D
-
Happy New Year to you too Roscco.
Yeah, it’s the sort of mateship that money can’t buy,
Money doesn’t seem to make him go away either. ;D
Hopefully if I can find a case for him then I won’t have to do some obscure welding job on it. ::)
It seems the main bearing fits into a ring that is moulded into the case and this ring has come loose with up and down movement.
Didn’t know there was such a ring in the cases!!

i have a 576 and a 1R8 set of used bottom ends in the shed, not sure what they are but there that small cc size, any use ?
-
Thanks Freaky but I'm not sure what 576 & 1R8 are from either.
I assume they are the first digits of the engine No which would specify the model.
Anyone know if these numbers would be for the models in the want-list I posted above?
-
576 = DT175C = twinshock bike = cases no good for IT (whole motor would work, but...).
1R8 = something the Yanks didn't get. Most likely a DT125 or 175 monoshock, at a guess.

Nathan will put me straight , but i used a set of crankcsaes from a DT175 mono for a YZ 125E motor with rooted cases , was a straight forward swap.
In theory they should work for your mates IT Geoff :) they are easily sourced and not generally flogged like YZ or IT cases :)
-
Geoff, let me know if he turns up any spare yz125f tanks, mine's looking more than a bit secondhand at the moment
-
Will a G fit Paul?
-
no, different shape, fuel tap on other side, different mounting points too I think. They look the same at a glance though.

Lets do that ;D
Do you know what model DT I should look for?
Nathan tried to tell me something similar but my eyes just glazed over.

Daves actually looking for a better 125 F tank as well
And he's still looking for an airbox, well actually he's sitting on his arse while I search for him
-
should have some 1w1 parts will check next week ;)
