Title: YZ250 N resto
Post by: Boyracer on January 03, 2011, 11:36:05 am
It's not exactly vintage but there,s not exactly a heap of mint 2001 YZs out there, not the 85 model sorry but this YZ will feature new suspension, top end, 18" rear wheel, WR headlight, ufo handguards, skid plate and frame guards, this is my first modernish bike.

Buy a heavier flywheel for it. You will be much happier

I love 'em. There's nothing you can't buy for one for bugger all and you can build a rocket with all the GYTR stuff and great suspension for under 5G.  ;)

Nice work. As 66M said, they're a very easy bike to own, and you can make em work very well. Although, if I had a spare $5k, I'd just go and buy a good 06/07 model and avoid the hours in the shed...
