Title: 89 KTM125GS & MX (1.9 bikes).
Post by: Nathan S on January 01, 2011, 10:08:16 pm
Complete 89 Enduro bike. I've ridden it and it does what it should - although the 37mm carb from the 125MX wasn't jetted right. I cleaned out the 36mm GS carb and refitted it, haven't been able to restart it and I've lost interest.

Has correct red-hub front wheel now.

Good tyres.
Decent chain and sprockets.
Freshly recovered seat.
Alloy bars.
Good grips/levers/kill-switch.
Previous owner told me it had a new Wossner piston in it - I believe him as compression is very good.
Repacked muffler.
Good strong spark.
Kick-starter slips occasionally.
Clutch cover not corroded out.
Bark Busters.
Headlight cracked but presentable.
New water pump seal & bearing, plus spares of both.

There's a nearly complete 89 125MX as a parts bike. Its missing a seat, and has a damaged power valve, but would otherwise be a complete bike (to the best of my knowledge).
Also a handful of extra bits and pieces - linkage bits, plastics, etc.

$1200 ono for the lot.
In Yass, southern NSW, but may be able to deliver.

Nathan.

Don't get excited by the pic of the dirty 88 model - that was my old one that I sold in 1998.
And the blue clutch cover got chucked out - it was too badly corroded. The silver one has been repaired with Devcon. The one on the bike is good and never been corroded.

The rest of the pics should be pretty self explainatory.

Yeah but I am unsure what to do with it people have said an mx motor won't fit a gs frame and also 89 gs is a fair bit different to 86 so I am not sure. :-\
