Looking at  pomy Electix rotor kit/ CDI any one used one of these?

Electrex? from what I hear they a pretty good, should be better than the Lucas stuff. There is an Australian importer for them in QLD. Although with a new set of points and properly set up, points can still be ok. A lot of the people who winge about the BSA energy transfer system dont know how to set them up right.

my points are working well-Local fitted one and his now starts easy as.

I am running Pazon ignition, they are made in NZ and reasonable price. comes with complete instructions and you can run pretty minimal wiring.

I used electix kits in both my B44 & B50 both start well & pull great through the rev range easy to install the only thing I did was to make different diameter spacers for mounting the stator. What I did learn was that you should wrap a alloy can around the rotor to get the gap even when you tighten the stator plate.

Yeah you have to run a battery, Cheney is set up for it so no biggie for me.
