Even though I own a TWR Jag and must admit he achieved some great things in motorsport, I reckon what Walkinshaw did to Scaifey with the Holden team was a low act. I did love those little Volvo station wagons running in the Euro 2litre class back in the 90's though. RIP

What he did to Skaife was the tip of the iceberg.....was probably one of the most hated people in motorsport...owed money everywhere....Holden where silly enough to get involved with him and have payed dearly for the pleasure. He had cancer for the last 12 months but they kept it quiet. He owed Rolen Dane who owns 888 racing millions from the BTTC days....I guess once a Scot

Yeah Tommy was a prick but I was being nice because he died. His dodgy dealings go right back to Benneton and Ligier F1 teams. Have you noticed that neither exist today? For all of his dubious business morals, he knew how to win motor sport titles and get publicity for the team. He was still a prick though.

Having never been one to care about watching taxis chase each other around a hill in central NSW, I will say that he sure could make those street going red taxis look sweet and go even better when he put his name on them.

Otherwise he was a prick.

So i'm not the only one that had no respect for the bloke as i'd heard a lot of things about him being a real prick!

Walkinshaw and his Holden associated companies bought a lot of stuggling Australian auto parts suppliers and manufacturers to their knees in the mid 2000's when he closed up and bolted overseas owing them all a fortune. Some of them are still playing catch up (including the company that I work for) and some went out of business because of it. Holden didn't beleive they were at all responsible for any of the debts and just expected the suppliers to continue supplying their products to some new off shute with different names at the helm. Low and behold he turns up again and Holden allowed him back in and take over HRT before he did the dirty on Skaife.
