Yep it's my birtyhday, a youthful 58. If someone would have told me at my first race meeting in 1969 that I'd still be rooting around with motocross bikes in forty years time I would have told them they were full of shit. Funny how things eventuate. Thanks Chaps.

Happy birthday Big Guy (or Slightly Smaller Guy as I heard you've lost over 20 kg). I hope you can keep that enthusaism alight for a few more years yet. I'm looking forward to catching up with you and the other crusty old farts at Kamp Kevlar at CD5.

58!!!  :o  Is that all?
Another mate of mine told a girl in the pub that he was 58 once, and her reply was "Geez, you haven't looked after yourself, have you?"
Good on ya, mate. Have one for me, eh?

yup cheers Mark! 58 years young eh..still a pup! you know when I was about 15 a mate of my elder brother said to me "you wait, by the time you are 17 and have a car license bikes will pale into insignificance. I bet you'll be sick of bikes by the time your 20!" I wished I had taken him up on that bet, 30 years later and I am probably more into bikes than ever although at the same time I am riding less than ever. Happy birthday anyways!! :D

There's been a lot of punters come and go Firko but you've maintained the passion despite the dickheads. You're still the biggest man in the sport in more ways than one! Happy Birthday.

It's on Magoo. Should we invite the Kevlar Girls? They've been at me and at me to take them somewhere nice.

Happy Birthday old timer.
I hope you don't tackle all those Kevlar girls at once.
When the young Bull said to the old Bull "hey lets run down the hill & make some of them cows happy" the old bull replied " no son, lets walk down the hill & make all of them cows happy"

BTW, do you suppose that Kevlar girl knows she's wearing a one piece bathing suit?

i felt myself privileged to have been able to meet and hang out with firko and the klub kevla gang around the motto farm hotel barbie on friday nite at cd5.  firko can't help but play the genial 'falstaff' style host, welcoming in newcomers and listening in to all ten or more conversations/bragging fests going on around him, fielding questions coming out from several to resolve debates on model changes/bike comparos/australian mx history/'what happened to so and so?' qu's all thru the nite.

i heard a heap of fabulous stories about the seventies mx revolution in oz from guys who were there racing (at all levels including pro's), and have all stayed in touch since - a hundred percent real band of brothers.

i was privileged indeed - thanks for keeping the kevla tradition going firko - they stand for something.
