Guys I'm looking for a new front brake cable for my 1976 RM125 . The cable has a long 6mm threaded end which runs through the steel front brake arm - and a nut.
Part Number 58100-41002.
I have a new 58100-41300 which is for the later model bike with alloy brake arm so it has a clevis on the end instead of the threaded rod.
Is there another model which will fit?
Thanks Pete

I'm pretty sure I have one of those Berger.....if you want to swap I can look tonight....I bought the cable for my A then put a B front end in it.
-

Swap sounds good. I have a brand new 58100-37200 (58100-41300) Oiled up and in the packet.
I'm on 0407 915 014 or I can call you about it.

Pete, RM125M/S (58100-41000) front brake cables fit the 125A also ;)

TM250 (58100-16500) and such are similar but about an inch and an half shorter..can be used in a pinch but it'll route partially across the front plate and not over like the regular length.

There you go. Doc to the rescue.....good on ya.

Hey Doc,do you reckon the bloke with an RM125B or C had that cable turn up on a late friday night just before the final meeting of the year and was leading the points and had to win all 3 heats on a track with plenty of down hills be happy and pulls the cable out to find a threaded end?
I wonder what his first words would be? ;D
-
:D Mario, I'd reckon their 1st word would be "...Oh!" but, what comes after I wouldn't like to contemplate :D
Pete, may know for sure if he bought that B/C cable thinking it was A :P same thing just backwards ;D
Pete, I have a nos S/M cable here (minus the adjusting nut and round pin..they been swiped) 'if' you are desparate you can use that (I'd probably have a used nut and pin somewhere) 'but' I'd have to replace it with one of those from fleabay US as I will be needing it..soonish..probably not till after new years though ;)

DC Doc and Mario,
Thanks so much. Offer has been sent on the cable. No major hurry as once the A is done it is up for sale. Now looking for the 370 motor for the B frame. Any leads????? I know that is a bit of a harder one, but you never know.

I'm no help with the 370 sorry. Least I don't think I am :-\ let me ask before I say definately absolutely not..I did see a near complete bike that'd suit resto tucked away in a container but..'if' and only 'if' it's still where I last saw it and then also only 'if' it actually is 4 sale..I don't know why I've never asked ???..probably because I have the 400's ::) lots of if's sorry but that adds up to a maybe..sort of :-\

Jesus Doc...you'll give the poor bloke heart palpitations....I supose I should be greatfull your taking the heat off me. ;D
-
No I'm calm right now. Managed to wake up 3 minutes before the cable ran out of time. Accepted $15 plus $14 post so it's a done deal. Thanks for your help.
Gotta keep on that 370 motor stuff. Once this 125A is back on track it will be Project 370.
