Get all those Pre 90 chairs out of the sheds, lets go have some fun at one of the best tracks around, 2 days of solo and sidecar action, and noveity events as well, great place show what we do to people who dont normally see sidecars, would be great to see some southerners up here, and bring some 2 wheelers as well, cause most of these Pre 90 blokes think us sidecar guys cant ride normal bikes, so l say lets give em hell........ >:( >:( >:(

Imagine if we could find a 1/2 dozen pre90 lightweights and put the likes of 090 and N0.8 et al on them with a competant passenger-we'd convert them in an instant.

If we cant even get 4 sidecars to Coles Creek we might not have to worry about Connondale, not good........

QVMX was having  a club ride today at Colels ck, near Gympie on the north coast, but unfortunately I was full of the flu and the Dalby boys had a hiccup so were down on numbers- we need a minimum of four to make a class or no race for us.
We really need to get things going up here-as I said at the spectacular presentation. We need to get younger teams up and running asap and some minis or juniors to take up the reins in the years to come.
I think the onset of pre90 is a good start except these outfits will now soar in price as everyone seeks to capitalise on the upsurge of interest in them. Though I 'spose a pre90 for 7500 is a better bet than a modern solo at 15000 or a modern outfit for 20k.

All racing and most particularly those on the fringes i.e. sidecars, quads, trials are about affordability. Only those that have too much cash will argue otherwise.
They always attract those that can't afford to pay too much for their trophies and will always dive back into their holes when they don't win straight-up. Hence, we have plenty that come in with a rush and go just as quickly-if not quietly.
Victoria had plenty come out of the woodwork a few years back and now it's back to the Anthony family to hold that end up in their state.
The spectacular had over 110 starters a few years ago and now we're back to around 50.
In Qld we have only ever had 10 or 12 and we will struggle to get them to a meeting with-out some sort of support.

We could all afford it if it if we only do one race a year!!

I don't like period specific so much-too much bloody mess!
I'm with Firko here, race patina where you can and practical. If you want a modern though-just buy one.
