Title: Did we ever come to a consensus on the best MA legal open face helmet?

Hi Guys,

Did we ever come to a consensus on the best MA legal open face helmet?

Like a lot of you it seems, I'm looking to get period style riding gear for next year, but helmets are a hard choice - don't mind the Bell, but is it legal?  Anything else good out there that looks period?

Maybe the new JT racing gear may do one, otherwise get a Arai and stick a duckbill on it. ;D

Not being anal,but for those who are new to the sport.  8)
Hate for you to get knocked back from scrutineering.  >:(  You can wear an open face or full face,though it must have one of the below bits of information on it.You can also private message fatboyracing a member of this forum if you need any more help  ;D Happy Helmet Hunting  :)

Be armed with a rule book showing the info relating to your helmet at scutineering , i had a drama with a chief scrutineer at a national event because he did not know the E6 standard in my Australian purchased shoei was MA approved. It made no difference when i pointed out to this genius that he had put the MA scrutieering sticker on the helmet 2 months prior . It was up to me to find an MA rule book (as an international rider i dont have my own hard copy ) and show him the rule  ::)

I know i know officials are vollenteers and we should all be gratefull (because weve never been officials or vollenteered have we ) but it would be nice if your going to police the rules to actually know the forking rules  ::) or at least have a rule book on hand  ;)

Rant over get a shoei RJ air 2  :) you wont regret it .

Does anyone know if the M2R Custom FG has the correct standards labels to be legal?

I like the Bell R/T, but I don't like buying a helmet without trying it on....  If no one local stocks Bell, it sorta rules it out for me...   :'(
