It probably went quite well too my rd250 is as heavy as buggery but still zappy I'd say it would go well in an mx frame.

Frosty, not long after this picture was taken Eric tried to make it a bit more "dirt friendly" by switching to one expansion chamber and both headpipes, it helped but more was needed, a 90 degree firing order would have done much to improve things but it still had the twin crank spinning and acting like a gyro, handling was "interesting". Eric switched to a Bettencourt Husqvarna 360 Mikkola replica a few races later and pretty much was the guy to beat in his NESC class.

Interesting Peter, do you know what the rest of the bike was I see it says maico front end but do you know what the frame and swingarm were I wonder if it still exists?

A sad end for this one, a friend of ours (Freddie Collins) made it in to a 3 wheeler with a Cagiva conversion kit and basically killed it and it wound up in the Haverhill Massachusetts landfill. It used the RD frame and the rear shock I'm pretty sure wound up being a Koni car coil-over, the Yamaha damper was way too long.
