Title: 1989 Honda CR250 same clutch as CRM250?
Post by: Husk72 on November 25, 2010, 04:45:27 pm
Went to buy a complete clutch and basket for a CR250.
The guy who I'm dealing with said he has a CRM,which has lights and an electric power valve.
I'd like to get some feedback from anyone who knows, if the CRM clutch will fit into my CR.

                                                                   Cheers,Mark.

Ok,save you guys the hassel, apparently no,they're not the same.
Love answering my own questions!
Well,I learnt a lesson on how to research the topic, instead of being lazy!
Soooo, Honda parts dealer quoted me that a new basket will set me back $600 odd.Anyone know where I can pick up one for a lot cheaper?Doesn't need to be genuine, also the bikes going to be a rider, not racer etc.Even a clean, non-abused secondhand basket is fine,if anyone knows of one.

                                                                          Cheers,Mark.

From memory the 89 CRM shared some plastics and nothing else with the CR and all the following models did not have anything in common with the CR
