Title: Kiwis welcome at HBBB 2011
Post by: Drakie on November 22, 2010, 04:19:54 pm
To all our Kiwi mates out there: here's an offer too good to refuse!
For the 2011 HBBB at Easter MA will organise a FREE container through MNZ to carry 30 pre 1985 dirtbikes here. You MUST make your crate liftable with a forklift and 1800x1100x500mm MAX!
Now get your airfares booked.
Contact MNZ soon for more details on pickup, port of collection etc.
Cheers,
D.

Why has this not been done for the Nationals?
From the outside looking in,
I can see first that the HBBB is an event aimed at a lot of different forms of motorcycle racing, not just a one code only event.
Second is income... lots more paying particapants and general public....
Thirdly Politics MNZ  trying to boost its image as the only credible/official controlling body of Motorcycle sport in New Zealand. (yeah yeah they obviliously have some great cheap fun racing meetings that are not MNZ authorised, but wait till the insurance and big big dollar liability claims pile up from the shits that refuse to except the consiquenses of their own actions....!)
Forthly Did I mention the amount of income???
It would be a pisser if a container could made avaliable our mates in New Zealand ,South Africa ,Europe , North America and even the UK( Hmmm suppose gotta have the Pommies..)   for the Australian Nationals...But........ Cheers Tim754

Because if MA 'invited' international riders, then I presume that it becomes an international event, with all the extra bullsh that comes with it.

Plus what Tim said.

One slight issue team.TMBill and Team taupo are organising a big two day event in Taupo Easter 2011.I cant see many people coming over, even with the generous free freight.Shame about the date clash.

Would I be correct in saying MA has more of a hand in HBBB than the nationals & consider it more important?
Craigs comment about the Taupo event being at the same time are right on the money, I can see more people on this side of the ditch wanting to do that event than wanting to be bikeless while their bikes cross the tasman

Do I sense a bit of tension between Suzuki43 and Damo  ??? ? Maybe MA could stage a Trans Tasman cage fight
between these 2 on the Saturday night  :-*. That would bring the punters in. I seen Damo at a Heaven meeting
earlier this year and he's a strong fella, he was muscling a CR500 around as if it was a 125. Whats Suzuki43
go like? With some of the bitch'n i've seen on this forum i'm sure we could get a good undercard together  ;D.
Or am i reading this wrong and it's just 2 vmx mates having a dig at each other.

                                     GEORGE  :D  :D  :D

Does this mean if I buy a bike in NZ between now and next Easter that I can get free international shipping [and visa versa for our NZ mates for the return leg].

I better start looking…  ;)

No VMX42 it doesn't. This is an offer for Kiwis to participate in the HBBB with their own bikes.
Tony27, MA put more into the Nationals in 2010 than this freight offer; and believe me, this is an expensive exercise.

Ok so back to the first point of call ????? Why is MA not doing the same deal for the MA NAtional titles ?????  IF that is supposed to be the pinicle of our sport ?? be good to get going some trans-tasman racing.

Afterall HBB is just an MA CD7.  And as MA are'nt sending an ISDT to india or wherever this year there is some spare case just waiting to be pumped in the CMX Aussie titles.  and with the current commitment for full feilds sin the sidecars this years ( making a first for many many years - it will truly be a FUll Showcase Nats and a great time to get someAnzac Spirit Pumping.
