Title: TS125K 1973 parts
Post by: Tim754 on January 19, 2008, 12:11:11 am
I know it is a traily , but it is nearly all there. So will be a roughy resto, "Patina whatever that shit means" needs both plastic sidecovers, Headlight unit or parts thereof.  Thanks all Tim

Tim, pretty sure I have a heat shield here somewhere..far from nos and probably a little dinged and rashed but far better than none and quite useable. I'll have a looky when I get home after tea  ;)

Tim, as I suspected, I do have a chrome shield..a few bumps and lumps but perfectly good from 10 metres away. Send me your postal addy (again ::)) and I'll get it off to you Monday  ;)

Sorry for the hijack but... Hey DOC I just found the perfect hub to use on my TM-S 185...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110215828881

They use the same axle on the GT185K as on the TM125 and the fork lowers have the same lug too  ;D ;D
I just have to paint it and fit a 21" rim

CG..that hub looks the goods for the TSM..my GT185 had a disc brake not drum but I fixed that problem by fitting a TS185ern front end :D If it had of been drum brake I would have pillaged it by now  ;D

Tim..the 'proper' kickstarts are still available new for about $100-$110,  used they are very hard to find..TS125 is the same but these too are hard to find. There are replacements available that look like TS185er type and they seem to work okay for about $30. Kawasaki 125's and possibly 100's run the same spline. KH125 kicker fits and clears the pipe but it sticks out a little when folded back. Not in the way but it just doesn't look right :-\

CG, I also notice it is one of the only items he lists without a buy it now price..I'd say he's switched on as some guys from the US have been paying over and above the new price. Mike Armstrong regularly lists them for $67US buy it now which works out much the same as we'd pay here if you buy it from someone like Mick Hone. I think they list at $115 retail in oz. In saying that it's worth taking a punt on it as I just picked up a TM125/250/400 genuine NOS front guard for $14.95 only yesterday. I even got a choice of colors..I took the orange   for reasons it will become obvious later on it the song  :D

As you can see in my previous post I got mine for $35US which is a lot cheaper than $67US, I suspect that the Thailand guy has a lot of them stashed away  ;)
