Hi guys
The story so far. I bought the left overs from Nathan S's KLX250 fire sale.
I have also picked up some milk crates full of kl klx & kz250 stuff (same same but diferent) , electrics/instuments wiring harness,s stator,s pulse pick up,s, engine covers/gearboxs/clutch hubs , frame bits footrests etc , topend & carbies even have a brand new cam (no rockers).
So to the subect title. I'm looking for piston&rings and I have looked thru an old kawasaki specs manual from 79-80 and it looks like kl klx kz250 and z1000 all have 70mm pistons.
Can any remember if z1000 run a 17mm gudgeon pin?
Also if anyone is interested in any of the above I have lots of doubles of the above.

1000J's and Eddie Lawson Replica's had 17mm pins ;)

Well done DOK. I was keen on that stuff as well but something else popped up. I always liked the KLX. Get it going and I'll give you a slow race with my TT250J.
Do you have a spare headlight KLX/ KDX?
Cheers, Grahame

Anyone know what rods fit these? Apparantly there is an early and a later version and one version is the same as a KLT250 trike or something but you cant use this rod in the other motor?? Thats what someone was telling me that couldnt get a KLX rod.

Thanks Graham
sorry about the spelling I'm working on the glow of the screen and a couple of glass's of old horny port.( old tawney port).
I don't have any plastics and thought I might get some from MCA(anything green should be ok for me).
It's not going to be anything glamorous.
Just some thing to crash through the bush. But I wouldn't mind having something I can register(it's a bag of shit here in NSW not being able to get rec redgo) just to save money on fines. Hey it's a klx it's not like you can out run anyone.
There is a lot of things I need to chase up to make a complete bike but so what it is left overs I'm working with.
If anyone wants to swap or buy bits give me a call 02 9715 3501.
There is a lot of stuff available from bandit in the US and with the dollar parity?? it's probably good value.
thank
