Once these photos are on a public forum anyone can post them or download them. If you were so worried about your mates livlihood you wouldn't have posted them. By posting them, you yourself are breaking copyright. Nong.
-
Great seeings as your the expert of all things Dr Fill, maybe you can email me which ones where sold so ican hold them back or the ones that are now public domaina, i dont have the time or inclanation to check up where they all come from but used this forum as a blanket cover to the images.
when and if you can make something better than shit out of at least 10 of your pathetic 33 Posts, please go right ahead until then, do me a favour and STFU
Rather than being this old smart arse if you have something to say and obviously need to it get of fyour chest do the right thing and PM and we can take this off line....
-
Thanks for the offer but I've made my point.

Freaky, I don't know as how Old Phil is 'following' you. It's obvious when we look at the home page what the new posts are and we all wander off to look at them. But, and this is the real issue, if you ARE concerned about your mate's copyright, you shouldn't post the pics. Of course forum members probably won't on-post them. But you can't guarantee that, and in any case they are effectively now in the public domain. My forum software is pretty good in that if you aren't a member, then images that are attached to posts are not visible. But I am not sure that is really enough.
I won't try to heavy handedly control what gets posted on here, because by and large the internet has really stuffed the whole copyright thing anyway. I would simply remind everyone that there is such a thing as copyright, that images posted here are effectively made public domain, and that if you don't want them to end up all over the world, don't post them.
That aside, nice pics. The girls in the other post are even nicer. But NONE compare to the Klub Kevlar welcome girls. I have had to consider whether or not to impose an R rating on OzVMX after THAT one!!
-
Greame nothing is an issue over the prints its just a freaindly reminder if you plan on using them, i just think they are worth sharing and he always sends me pics back that are good even back to 94, i have no idea what he sold or if they Really are copyrighted jsut go easy on them if your using them thats all.
Regarding the other item or should i say tool, its obvious to me what that nut bag is up to, not thats your issue. ONly 32 post in how long ? and all of a sudden he decides he want to back post on my stuff, across all topics not just current ones are you kidding me. ::)
He's an Idler... nothing more. I' d go with my first point though in this case.
So We done now Dr Fill with your little game or you wanna keep playing ?
if not PM's Only and ill send them back across the net all day >:(

I've just gone over Old Phils posts and I can't see that he's following you at all. He's got a perfect right to respond or comment on anything you or anyone else posts.
He had a go over some racist remarks you alegedly made referring to muslims and you and he have been at it since. The majority of his posts are entertaining and informative. I know the bloke and he's a pretty nice bloke who's far more involved in motorcycle racing than you'd think! An Idler? I doubt it! I think he made a very good point about copyright that you have totally missed. Sorry Freaky but the only bloke breaking copyright is you. As soon as you put a picture in the public domain you've basically lost it. You are giving your mates photos to the world. That's all Phil was trying to tell you but you arced up, missing the point completely. Graeme backs the point. If you want to protect your buddys livleyhood, don't post photos that were given to you for "personal use only".
-
I've been studying copyright law quite a bit in the past few months, so I feel I can give a halfway educated response for the first time ever. :D
What Mark says is true to a point.
The owner of copyright to these images (which we shall assume is the photographer in most cases) hasn't phyically lost his right to said images because they were posted on a website somewhere. He is still the legal owner and has final say as to how and where there are published and at what cost.
However, because they can now by downloaded by anyone viewing them, he has lost control of them and potential income from them, but not his legal rights.
Enough legal crap................. that's for work time...............
Great photos, were't they.............. ;D
Despite me talking 'tough' on copyright, photos of motorcycles are what I do for fun and I'm happy to share them with anyone who may be interested. I approach my work images very differently. ;)
-
Thats how I feel to TonyT. If I have a half decent photo of a bike I will post it up or give it to them. No point in it being hidden away.
So TonyT when do we start traveling the world taking pictures of motorsport ;)?? it was always my dream to be a sports photographer ;D ;D
-
Meh ......... i have removed any i think are currently on the table.
Your probally right firko since that topic it would seem someone still has open wounds but slagging me off in follow me posts, childish yes. but certainly not informative or entertaining
maybe your refering to this jem, to quote " Get a life Freaky. Who gives a flying fart about copyright. Trust me when I tell you these things."
Great advice that . is that what your referring to as informative or entertaining ?
i then moved them to a more appriciate area , because it is a great pic that should be apprieciated, and yet he is still rattling on now in that area.
You saying he is still having a hissy fit and still carring an axe over the Hick's thing ? grow up FFS, he would want to do a shit load for motor cycling cause he is doing jack all constructive here.
And just to keep things factual for FACTUAL sake Firko i never used the word 'muslim' in that post, if you going to reread posts, reread both side and report fact not hearsay. the comment i would make regarding that post is after my response to yours in as you SAy 'my rights to respond to posts in the forum" when he couldnt hack the open opinions of the forum and thought he might like to weigh in on your behalf, thats when his knickers shall we say became twisted. I understand your standing up with your mate, but i think its time this game was finished, lifes too short for these personality to begin.
And come on do the research properly : reread ? how about the last 4 post, rigth click user, last four posts ? since the hicks thing they where all directly related to freaky or in topic. Take off the blinkers your a better person that that and im not stupid.

The mood I'm in right now?................... are you free on Monday, DJ? :D
You'd have to be cashed up and not have to worry about making money to enjoy it though.
Herein lies the problem.................. :-\
-
The House is on the market TonyT, $1 reserve, packing my bags and cleaning the camera gear. What event shall we go to first ;D ;D

Seeing we're a close knit community here I'm sure one of us knows a good shrink that could help our mate Freakshow out, god (Allah)knows he needs it. Anyone?

I must have missed something along the way. I took photo of Roger DeCoster in the 1970's that was used in REVS magazine and only got $25.00 for it. And that was only after I rang them to see if they were going to send me anything after they used it???
Also had a couple printed in our beloved bible, VMX. Still waiting for the massive cheque for those.

Sorry Freaky I guess I got it wrong. I apologise for getting the words "Lebo forkers" confused with the term muslim. I don't know how I could be so insensitive to think it was a racist remark. My apologies.

Accepted. ;)
and agree your off the target from the original concept, To be muslim you dont need to be lebanese, australian or lebanese australian for that matter and all the vice versa's.
I WAS SPECIFICALLY directing lEbo fucers to these nutbags who for arguments sake happened to be both, and some how your pissing about with it, Those dogs where and i stand BY that remark regardless of what Race or religion some poster wants to cry Racist about , i dont give to shit what they where in the context of my post i called a spade a spade, i cant believe people are trying still to water down such a pivotal and hanice Race crime - that was Legal fact.
if your in any way supporting them and trashing my first post for what it exposed in context you all need to hang your heads in shame and take a good hard look at yourselfs >:(
Just so you folk no which dogs i was reffering to in that original context that seems to somehow be dogging my round, follow the link below if your memory has somehow faded. ::)
Lets just not hope its you mother, wife or daughter that pigs like these hit next under the crimes of Religion. Dont moan to me later when you 14yr old daughter gets raped and tortured for 6 hours under the misguided rules of race or religion. And insist on bagging me out in Vmx forum for little reason other than misguided political correctness.
The Sydney gang rapes were a series of gang rape attacks by a group of up to fourteen Lebanese men led by Bilal Skaf, against White Australian girls, some as young as 14, in Sydney, Australia in 2000.
The crimes - decried as ethnically motivated hate crimes saw blanket media coverage, the passing of new laws, and more than 240 years in jail time handed out to nine men. In court transcripts, Judge Michael Finnane mused that the rapes were events "you hear about or read about only in the context of wartime atrocities".
Racist rapes: Finally the truth comes out
By Miranda Devine
July 14 2002
The Sun-Herald http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2002/07/13/1026185124700.html
So now we know the facts, straight from the Supreme Court, that a group of Lebanese Muslim gang rapists from south-western Sydney hunted their victims on the basis of their ethnicity and subjected them to hours of degrading, dehumanising torture. The young women, and girls as young as 14, were "sluts" and "Aussie pigs", the rapists said. So now that some of the perpetrators are in jail, will those people who cried racism and media "sensationalism" hang their heads in shame? Hardly.
The journalists, academics, legal brains and politicians who tried to claim last August that the gang rapes of south-western Sydney were just a run-of-the-mill police blotter story being beaten up by racists, scaremongers and political opportunists don't ever want to acknowledge the truth about that ugly episode in Australian history. They don't want to acknowledge the fear and tension that ran through a part of Sydney they rarely visit and can never understand.
This newspaper was the first to report the story, which had been common knowledge in police and media circles, and it has never censored the race element.
Even last week, with the conviction of two brothers for their part in the gang rape of Miss D, who was 16 when she was held at gunpoint in a Greenacre park, there were media outlets that downplayed the story and air-brushed race from it.
Yet the victims have been crying out for the truth to be told. In court on Friday, one victim gave another a card on which she had written
"Truth is Justice".
In August, when Judge Megan Latham handed out laughably lenient sentences to three men in one gang rape case, which were later more than doubled on appeal, she made a special point of debunking the race link: "There is no evidence before me of any racial element in the commission of these offences," she said. "There is nothing said or done by the offenders which provides the slightest basis for imputing to them some discrimination in terms of the nationality of their victims."
Except that later one of the victims complained her victim impact statement had been "censored" of any "ethnic" references by prosecutors intent on a plea bargain. She was convinced she was raped because of her ethnicity. "You deserve it because you're an Australian," the rapists told her during the five-hour attack.
It's just so inconvenient of the victims to insist on telling the truth.
"I looked in his eyes. I had never seen such indifference," one 18-year-old victim, codenamed Miss C, told the court, remembering one of the 14 men who called her "Aussie pig", gang raped her 25 times over a six-hour period in Bankstown and Chullora, and then turned a hose on her. "I'm going to f*** you Leb style," he said.
Fourteen gang rapists have been convicted, or pleaded guilty, thanks to the courage of seven victims who testified for days in court as their tormentors smirked nearby, the men's families threatened them and defence lawyers suggested they had enjoyed the rapes.
"They're very brave, very strong and very courageous young women," said Salvation Army Major Joyce Harmer, who held the hands of many of the victims through the trials. "They knew this was something they had to do."
There were encouraging signs by the end of the week that some Muslim community leaders were talking of "Muslims accepting responsibility that they may have failed to do things that would have prevented these things from happening", as Amjad Mehboob, chief executive for the Federation of Islamic Councils, told ABC Radio on Friday.
Keysar Trad, vice-president of the Lebanese Muslim Association, said: "It is certainly a disgrace to our community that people who were born to a Muslim family would commit such heinous crimes." But he went on to say it was "rather unfair" that the rapists' ethnicity had been reported "because these boys themselves have completely disaffiliated themselves from their culture or their religion".
Yes, it is unfair that the vast bulk of law-abiding Lebanese Muslim boys and men should be smeared by association. But their temporary discomfort may be necessary so that the powerful social tool of shame is applied to the families and communities that nurtured the rapists, gave them succour and brought them up with such a hatred of Australia's dominant culture and contempt for its women that they think of an 18-year-old girl, dressed for a job interview in her best suit, sitting on a train reading a book, as a slut.
These were racist crimes. They were hate crimes. The rapists chose their victims on the basis of race. That fact is crucial to this story. If the perpetrators had been Anglo-Celtic Australians, the furore would have been enormous. No newspaper would have left out that fact and you can bet the guilt and shame would have been spread far and wide.

This is so sad. What has any of this to do with the Dakar Rally being cancelled? The fact that you dug that article out and posted it on a vintage motocross forum truly disturbs me. I really don't know how to respond to a post like that and I won't.
-
Agreed, and no response was ever needed, infact im not sure why it was neccessary for anyone to comment on the views of many at the time, and then feel the need to put down other members opinions in slanderous retoric, comment or purpetrating silly forum games.
Perhaps ask those persons ? I'M done on the topic as was way back then, just seems others keep liking to drag it on for a thrill, and will follow it on in all posts regardless of what that forum Topic is ??? come to think of it im not sure how you got it legs again in this foto post.
Just dont piss on my back and tell me its raining.
Been an absolute waste of time i recon and we obviously agree on that point. :D
-
This forum has no place for racism of this or any type. You've totally missed the point Freakshow.
-
It sad that you few dont represent the many and for some reason cant follow thread links properly.
You need to have a good hard look at how this shit started on January the 7th, follow it through and youll see you pissing on the wrong guy.
why for some reason persons with there own agendas keep dragging it up in other unrelated topics, why IHNI, diverting this post and then crying foul.
The truth is out there. this is the origianl post that started it all http://ozvmx.com/community/index.php?topic=1459.0
Yamaboy - your embarrasing yourself, go backa and read the initial post , to which most persons see there was no initial blanket Racist blah blah. You my freind have no idea what the point is ? what a stupid, ignorant, impress you mates, generalised post you have just made - get a grip FFS. Thank you, have just proved my point.
Every other post has been definding myself from childish shots like yours, uneducated and unread across all topics, you wankers keep bringing it up every where. why ?
Funny thing is you should know is i have had a series of positive and supporting PM's on this situation and my responses from day 1, and yet the sad part is they all feel to intimadated and stood over as some of you clowns have a habit of singling out and harrasing those that dont agree, i give you the big tip its a lot more than the 6 of you Nah sayers i have marked in my wall.
The only loss i see to come from all this is the Guys out there worried about being made to look silly because of you other few who find it nessaccary to run down other forum members just because they dont subscribe to your way of thinking, this is sad and very very un-Australain. Simply a bunch a try hards trying to join the boys club...
Thank you all concerned for gagging the forum and stopping any true debates on anything, just because you feel the need to be superiour in some twisted way, school yard bullying has no place here, go back to my original post on Jan 7th and stand here and tell me im wrong ? every other post was in the defence of that stand. Take a good hard look at yourselves. ::)
And like i continue to post in all my comments in this matter - PM me if you want to discuss this or are you trying to get your own post counts up or perhaps just too gutless and like to get on your own soapbox and impress your mates ::)
-
Thought might as well hijack this thread and throw up a few Pics of my Bimota YB9sri while we take this small diversion, I just keep getting the feeling its gonna cost me my licence one day ;D

Silck maschine for an old fella , is that a SACHS rear unit ?
-
Paioli (think that correct spelling) rear unit though dont know much about it , not really built for comfort, just for speed and pain, dont think i'll ever grow up ;D
-
Paioli um close enough I hope ;) Is that the same Italian mob that made those super soft Yamaha rims on later XT600 and others? Another high light of Yamahas soft as shit cracking rim catalogue. Love the Bimota!!!!!!! :-* :) ;D
-
Not sure Tim, they run Antera Rims. Think Paioli only made suspension
-
That's a seriously cool machine, Rossco!
I can imagine it would be of limited enjoyment below the speed limit, though. :-\
I took my Husky motard out on the road early one Monday morning and didn't enjoy it at all. Too busy watching the caravans, Volvos (sorry Nathan!) and the speedo to have good time.
On the track though.............. ;D
-
That the one you promised me a ride on Rossco old mate;D ;D
-
Thats the one Lozza, I know you wouldnt thrash it ::)
-
Too cool Rossco.
-
Someone has to get rid of those 'chcken strips' ::)
;D
-
I know but who you gonna get :D
-
Whats the motor ? ducati ? suzuki ? or dont you get a choice any more ? we had a nice white one with red and green stripes up the road when i was younger, some sort of itailan colours always sounded sweet as this twin went out for its sunday ride.
-
Haven't been slopping "Dubbin's" on me leathers for nuthin Rossco :'( :'(
Freaky Bimota do it very simply a designation SB1 means Suzuki/Bimota No1, DB1 means Ducati/Bimota 1 , KB1 means Kawasaki/Bimota
That one you speak of is the DB1 Kevin Magee made a name for himself on the Bob Brown sponsored bike in the old Swann Series.Never forget the first one I saw in 78
-
so his is a yamah then ? YB1 geeze that made it easy.
yep and the other thing would have been late 70's had that desmo dromic sound that woke the neighbour hood as he warmed it up, all the kids in the street would be out in force for the drive by on his way to the hills
-
Haven't been slopping "Dubbin's" on me leathers for nuthin Rossco :'( :'(
Thought they may of just weathered out in the rain like something else we wont talk about on this forum :o,
actually there was a guy racing one of these in Victoria who had a full set of race fairings and advertised them on ebay but never did anything about it back then evem tho he offered them to me for $600, (f--cken Hindsight) wonder if anyone knows him as he didnt sell then at the time and would be good to get hold of, sure it was 2006 year he was racing but unsure of the series he was competing in, know any links Lozza which may help track him down
-
That is a seriously nice bike. I imagine it is an awesome ride on some twisty tarmac...
Tex
-
Your a hard man Rossco no wonder you won that big trophy at the CRC. ;D ;D ;D
-
I know a bloke restoring an ex wreck late 80s Bimota with a GSX1100 Suzuki engine. Some poor bugger was killed on it back when the bike was fairly new and it sat in his brothers garage 'til about 2000. My friend is restoring it but it's a big job that he occasionally loses interest in. It'll be worth doing it though as they're the Manx Norton or Vincent Black Shadow of the future. You've got a sweet ride Rosco.
