OK Suzuki geniues, what footpeg springs do I need when you put 10mm pins in?...std are 8mm....is it just the N and T's that use that stupid mount that sticks out? The original springs wont fit over the bigger pins. This is not a gee up about footpegs. I have welded some of that famous bloke GMC's widners on and driiled out the mount holes to 10mm to get rid of the excess play. If somebody knows it would be great, save me anoying the shops and wreckers.Cheers in advance DC.

Save yourself the grief and use the std springs, just turn down the last 10-15mm (whatever is protruding past the peg mount) of the o/s pin to 8mm. Use a drill to turn the pin and hold it up against a file or grinding wheel. Or you could use a lathe as the last resort ;)
You might need to stack the appropriate qty of washers to keep it all tight once you have it secured with the split pin.
Alternatively, use the 8mm pin with an o/s bush running through the peg and mount. Place a washer between the spring and the peg to keep the bush in place with spring and split pin installed.
Theres a few ideas to consider before you drive yourself nuts looking for a torsion spring that will fit for purpose.

I thought we spoke about this at Biddadabah a few weeks ago . I think it's the X springs or Z.
You can buy the spring wire from a palce off kingston road ( just before the logan MW on ramp ) make your own ....then heat the suckers up and hey presto job done.
Has oldtimers set in ;D
