Title: 360 chain tension

finished my last race of the day yesterday and noticed the chain had gone as tight as a tight thing! any ideas? the bike is a 360 sidepipe

Cheap chain?.....should have a CZ chain on it.

have removed wheel and swingarm everything is fine no snapped pivots or frame.
wheel must have moved a tad though cant see any evidence but outer bearing loose in hub again as loctite worn out gona have to sleeve it now i rekon

Out of interest, how worn was your hub that you were able to use loctite?

because the fit has been lost in the hub on the small bearing side the inner axel has slipped sideways and jumped out of the chain tug and allowed the wheel to slip backwards in the swingarm hence chain tight.
will turn up an adapter to press into the hub that will accept a 6004 bearing which has 42 OD rather than 47 done this mod on my twinport two years ago and has worked well

Never even thought of that when I did mine years ago, the hub I've got to be spoked up into a race wheel has about .1-.15mm play on the non sprocket side. Thanks for the idea on the possible fix

A worn out rear sprocket could be the culprit as the tooth pitch becomes longer than the chain pitch.cheers pancho
