Title: 1038 Amal Carb
Post by: steve234 on November 03, 2010, 11:06:15 am
Can anyone assist with identifying a 1038 Amal carb needle.  It has a 0.A stamped on it, and my bully parts book numbers it as a 29.15-006/0, I gather the 0 at the end relates to the 0 stamped on the needle but whats the .A all about?

Cheers,
Steve

What type or carby is is it? have you got a photo?

Monoblocs 375, 376, 386 ? or concentric 600 or 900?

these letters indicate what carby needles are for the monoblocs

B - 375
C-376
D - 389

i will have to look up what A is but cant do it till tonight. Im guessing you have a concentric though.

Its a 38mm concentric similar to the 900 series.  So far i've found out the 0.A needle is for the #104 pursang, which ran a 36mm carb. So i'll try an 0 if I can get one and see how it goes.

34,36,38's are 1000 series concentrics, 2" flange centre, thinking i used O needle for methanol in my 38,most (all)1000 series are two stroke carbs, :P
