Hi. Here is Dutch from the Netherlands, so sorry for my bad writing.
My BIG hobby is collecting information from speedway - longtrack - grasstrack bikes and engines.
I already have a big collection (pic - magazines - articles - etc) but specialy from bikes and engine made in New Zealand and Australia
there is a lot of information missing.
I hope to find on this forum some members with the same interest that can help me further.
Bye for now.

Hi Dutch, can you post up some pics of you collection if possible.
-
Hi Dutch and welcome, Love your accent! [from a bloke that understands only one language] cheers pancho.
-
Welcome aboard Dutch,
Don't apologise for your writing because you were very easy to understand.
Speedway, Longtrack & Grasstrack are also passions of mine and several others on this forum also.
I'm not too sure about the New Zealand side of things but if you let us know a bit more about what you're after we'll be able to help.
Cheers, Steve

If you send me or post your email address on here, I'll send it over.

G'day , Dutch , welcome aboard , I'm Jim's brother and I've been a Speedway , Dirt track and Longtrack fan for years, did a little bit of riding myself.
If you have a look at the link Jim sent you there are some photos of some fairly rare Aussie built motors.

I think that there are 4 type of the MSM engine, from the (first ?) engine (see link above) I only have this very bad picture, so I am looking for a better one.
In the old site "The Workshop" http://www.cybermotorcycle.com/archives/speedwaybikes/msm.htm
there is also some information about the MSM engine, but look direct under the Specification, there is = With his health regained, Clarry once again took up the challenge. This time, a four-valve layout was evaluated as the most promising design. Operated by twin belt-driven camshafts located in the base of the cylinder head, actuating the valves through short pushrods and rockers, it was a radical design, but in the early prototype stage retained the proven crankcase and cylinder design of the earlier engines. Using a new porting layout to give more usable power in the lower rev ranges, low and mid-range acceleration was vastly improved.
Was this 4 valve engine ever made?

dutch
do you have any pics of the bellini long trackers with upright motors

Firko's mate has a great collection of exotic speedway engines and probably knows more about their history than anyone I know, maybe Firko can put you in touch with him?

great site Dutch and a good read. i spent an hour browsing it briefly, will go back for a more detailed read later.
Thanks for the link. i have an interest in the pioneer era especially.

Hi Jimg1au.
On the German site, http://www.bahnsporttechnik.de/home.html are some photo of Bellini bikes with upright engines.
Go to motor ---- then to Bellini, the uprights engines sare in the Bellini story part 2.
There is also the Bellini prototype, a Weslake bottomhalf with a Bellini 4 Valve head.

Is there a member with a better pic from early MSM pushrod engine.
Just for the record, the Bahnsporttechnik site is not from me, but from my very good German friend Helmut Steinkemper.
I only help him sometimes with information

Is that what Vwalter rode when he was a baby?
