Title: Marzocchi stem nut
Post by: cappra on October 30, 2010, 05:14:06 pm
I would suggest to anyone with Marzocchi forks to apply some anti seize compound on the steering stem nut to avoid this!

Yep had a similiar experience with my VF250. The original aluminium steem nut/bolt pick up on the thread when I was dismantling and once it does its curtains  :o :'(. I had to have a machining guy I know chase the thread in the stem and machine up a new bolt/nut out of stainless and now use an antisieze compound  ;).
