steve
you will need a import permit for that
apply in the act 50.00 cost and about 3-4 weeks so you need to have the bike first and a title from usa roads

And be aware that there is roughly a 0.07c difference per dollar to dollar between the Aussie and US dollar if paying with Paypal.  If the seller demands payment this way I would work with them to avoid this blatant gouging as they are also charged for the sale....... So much for parity  :o

My last post was not meant to slight anyone or any business here in Aus that is into importing bikes. I was just trying to point out that there is a big difference in the price of the Australian dollar compared to what Paypal is accepting as Australian dollars.
Paypal's value of OUR dollar has dropped 2 cents in less than 2 days where as the world financial market sees our dollar increasing in value.

Go out and buy the bike you have always wanted while our dollar is so strong and help local businesses like shorelinemc's

Just don't get ripped off in believing our dollar is worth more when some large Auction sites devalue it by so much when you pay for that bike. The ACCC should investigate these Auction sites business practices.
