As a V12 Jag owner this thing makes me want to throw up. What a waste of one of the sweetest engines ever produced.
-
I wouldn't go so far as to say it makes me wanna spew but then again I'm not an avid Jag enthusiast. I am someone who likes things a little individual and I see a bit of that in this item..a lot!! Firko, until the motor is scrapped and melted down it's not wasted..maybe make him an offer on just the motor or maybe buy the trike, fit a garden variety 350 and keep the motor! Maybe fit the 350 into the jag and save $15000 :P maybe I should shut up... ;D
-
Geez i hate trikes >:( i thought you gave them away at about 2 yrs old when you learned to balance ::)
There is a Clown who builds them not far from me and he seems to sell a few :o
The Bastard cut up an RM 250 / 370 tank to fit to one of the abomonations >:( just shows the mentality :'(
-
FIT A 350 TO THE JAG!!!!!!!! WASH YOUR MOUTH OUT DOC!
-
Ha ;DHa ;DHa ;D Doc your in trouble ;D ;D ;D
-
ARRR TM Bill does that apply to ..... sidecars.... hope not ;) Tim
-
Sorry Firko..maybe a big hemi might be better suited ;)
DJ..I'm always in trouble..only the depth that varies ::)
an' Bill! :o That sounds like a very deep set hatred towards trikes :D I personally don't mind them excepting any VW powered trike..a V12 is fine..mmm..nice. Everyone to their own ;D

The only place a V12 Jag should be seen. My Jag not Jonseys Mustang!

The only place a Jag should be seen…
What rusting in a field? Or leaving an oil stain in the grass? Or are we just waiting for the NRMA with a random electrical problem?
But the Mustang is a different kettle of fish all together!!!
Back to you big guy.

As easily wound up as I am I must respond to your scurrilous anti Jag sentiments Jeff. Mine doesn't drip oil except from it's American made Turbo 400 transmission. It has no rust (not much anyway) and my 2005 Jeep has more electrical heebie jeebies than the Jaguar (It just cost me nearly $500 to fix a non working fuel gauge and the central locking has taken a shit). In the meantime, as lovely as Alans Mustang is, it bounces all over the road and has an annoying squeak in the front end that's cost him thousands to find and it's still there, while the Jag is as silent, smooth and good handling as a new car. It'll beat the XJS in a drag race but the Jag just cruises past him after it tops out at 180km. How much more do you need? Leather v Vinyl, Walnut v Plastic, independant rear end with inboard brakes and Bilstein shocks v buggy springs, drums and 9" diff, right hand drive v left hand drive, 12 cylinder SOHC sophtication v 8 cylinder pushrod, a Bathurst win, v Nothing. (Alan Moffats only drive at Bathurst in the Trans Am Mustang Pete Geohegan beat him in the Super Falcon).
Having said that I'd have Alans Mustang in the shed tomorrow, it's gorgeous. Not bad for a sight unseen eBay buy from Pensylvania! (I can get away with laying crap on the Mustang as he flew out for Fiji this morning!)

Hey Firko, how did you get the Jag to stay in one piece for the photo? You must have secret healing powers.... :o ;D :P ;)
-
All that photo lacks is a Phase 3 HO and a VT wagon and you've got pure class all the way through (except the Jag)
-
Being a GM man myself , Whats wrong with the Jag :)
-
Magoo alludes to a funny story from the Muscle Car Masters at Eastern Creek. I had the Jag, Jonsey his 'stang, Phippsy had is genuine Falcon XY GTHO Phase 3 (and of course Magoo had his rare and desirable VT Commodore station wagon).
Most passing punters stopped to look at Als Mustang or occasionally my Jag but they nearly all avoided looking at the Phase 3 thinking it was a home built replica. Edgar is used to it as nobody ever believes it's a real one because he actually drives it. Little did the folks know that they were walking past a $600000 Falcon .
-
Now come on Firko , i am in full support of the Jag no question :) but how the hell can anyone justify $6000000 for a Antipodean built ( or for that matter any Ford ) :o
-
TM Bill,
People like us like to pay silly money for old machines...and the GTHO PH 3 is the most feared muscle car of it's time and rarer than hens teeth now, so people get silly when they come up for sale.... ::)
But I agree, it's only a Ford... ;)
-
a genuine Phase 3 GTHO with low miles sold last year in Melbourne for $683,000 at auction !
-
Is there a Ford Forum where the members get their tits in a tangle when cars sell for silly money :D
-
Two of those Falcons have hit the million dollar mark. Silly money? you bet, but it's a reality.
-
A few years back I paid a whopping $500 for my hotrod van and I thought I may have been making a mistake..obviously I had no cause for concern :D
-
I got a Kia Rio bog stock standard.............. :-[ ::) Tim , Hey but like Yss I got pre75 VMXers of up to and over 1000cc depending which powerplant I bolt in ... :D
-
jeez Tim..for a minute there I thought I read you had a Kia Rio Big Block Standard..now that would have been impressive!! :D
