Hey.
I may be getting a Husky 430, and I would like to swich to a bananaswingarm. I like the look of the Maico, and the ease of it beeing steel and right side chain.
So I wonder, is the -80 same as -81? Is the dimesiones very different from 78-80? There seems to be a lot of 78-80 arms on ebay, but not often any -81...
Could anyone with easy access be bothered to measure the length from swingpivot to rearaxle, and total width at swingpivot?
Thanks

The '81 Maico swingarm is longer than the '80 model by about 1". Pretty sure the '78/'79 arm is shorter again.
You won't really gain anything by fitting the Maico swingarm other than looks, as the Husky one is essentially a banana arm because the shock mounts are attatched to side of the arm instead of on top.
I just measured my '81 Maico swingarm and my '82 Husky CR swingarm and they are both 21.25 inches from axle to axle... you may be in luck.

Super, thanks! It's only for the looks. The bike has ProCircuit sidepanels and numberplaterearfender, planning to use a 43mm KYB fork. So just wanted the Maicoswing for the looks...
If anyone could measure the width for me then... ;)

I was just looking at a Pro Circuit 430 Husky with those sidecovers and rear guard on a US website.. Pretty cool bike.
