l was just sitting here at my computer checking out the brisbane M.C.C web-site, and dreaming about connandale, and a hare brain ideal came rushing into my head.
A 24 hour race, day time motocross and night time enduro cross, then back to motoross when the sun comes up. :o
Great idea or a bad idea ( you vote )

Thats would be ok for the Suzukis and Hondas, but the Montys and Kwackas would struggle...

The idea is to use a bike like a motocrosser dueing the day light and switch over to an enduro bike with lights at night then switch back to motocrosser in the morning light. just a thought. it would be interesting though.

Interesting idea, but this is VMX we are talking about.
To get through 24 hours you would need 24 riders for each team [and probably 36 bikes] and countless mechanics and spare parts… You haven't mentioned when the beer stops are during the event? ;)

Do you mean bit like a pony express setup..with interchangable bikes for each terrian ???
How many riders two or one ??
Do we have enough buff vmx riders for this 24hr to run right through the night..... ;D ;D
IT'S DO ABLE :P

Why not just come down to SA and ride in the real 24Hr. This year they ran the same classes as the SA Reliability Trial Championships, which include Class M for pre-1990 bike, so you don't even have to give up on the old bike to ride in it.

You could have all classes. Pre 75 , pre 78 , pre 85,
Yes it would be a bit like a pony express, you would need a team of 4, or 2 riders, it would have to be nutted out properly, they was years ago a 24 hours desert race, not sure where though.
