Title: KTM projects
Post by: bigk on October 20, 2010, 01:43:30 pm
Hello all,
Way too much in the shed, so today I have decided the KTM 250's can go. There are 2 x 1981 models, 1 x MC5 mxer for sure, the other is a GS (I think, but may be an MC5 as well). Both are 90+% complete but in need of restoration. One has had a new sleeve fitted and comes with a piston to suit. There is only 1 kick start lever and only 1 muffler beween the 2. The pipes are very good to excellent and both have Ohlins shocks. The chassis' are rolling, the rest is in boxes. $2k for the pair or I may separate if the offer is right. Located in Bendigo Victoria.
There is also a 1984 KTM495 project bike and a '79 frame, tank, swingarm and a few small parts. Email: [email protected] or call 0417394889.

Hmm what about $1500.00 for the lot?
I pay more if I lived closer.

Yes they are , my problem is If I lived near by I would have picked them up already as I have found out before getting something from Bendigo to me is more than $500. I'd be happy to pay 2k delivered.

Slakewell, where are you from? I might be able to get them back to Wagga on my next trip to Bendigo if you are in NSW.

Is the '84 495 air or water cooled, K?

There's actually 2 x 1984 495's, they are air cooled, upside down forks, front & rear TLS drum brakes. One has a compliance plate (even though it's an mx'er). Both are in a million peices with one half done and almost ready for re-assembly, the other is pretty much a basket case. I also have a really tidy, low use 1985 MXC500 (water cooled, disc front) although I have an interested party in that one. That's it for the Kato's.
Cheers,
K
