As I wrote on another thread, expect to see some interesting bikes enter the country over the next few months. The latest is this '78 CCM that's now enroute from Sweden along with the EG framed ESO on the other thread. Even though it shows a bit of race rash and has the wrong forks (Husky?) it's still a pretty good deal for $4500AU +$1000 shipping. With a bit of a tidy up this gem would be a 10K bike in any market.

Is it me or is the front end on this bike severely raked out?
Just doesn't look right.
-

wery wery nice for a 68..I think all people should put a Classic Road Racing event on there bucket list and be inspired to see some of the really nice bikes in Australia. 8)
cheers

fork angle is correct. Yes they were raked like. First photo has Husky forks. Not sure about the second one, they arent CCM either, not that it matters, the bike is stunning. 4V motor fitted ~ nice!

Yep Classic Road racing is whole different deal, but you really get to see some engineering, i am always blown away by what guys can build.... was it Ajay who said that the contents of their tool boxes were worth more than the average VMX. ;D
However, most clubs run various pre 85 and 70s classes where you can get that GSX1100 out and scare the shit out of yourself. Plus track days are cool where you just go around until you get dizzy.
