Title: RM 400T air and fuel filter
Post by: maxi81 on October 18, 2010, 06:22:28 pm
Anyone know where I can get a fuel and air filter for a 1980 RM 400T at a resonable price in Australia?

Twin Air   air filter to suit   Yamaha YZ 85 / 02     part # 152012       will fit RM 250 / 400   1980     also Pe   250/400  1980 -1981
RRP around $30-$40-00  mark
Inline fuel filters can be bought at most M/C shops       MCs   page 11/7http://www.mcsonline.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=80&Itemid=137

While your at it - remove the fuel tap from tank and clean the fine inlet stainer.  If you want more fuel ( as they have a tendacy to lean out due to a small bore tap )   go up one size by drilling it out - or install a YZ tap  ;)

I assume you mean an inline fuel filter? If so you can get those from most bike shops or on ebay

Air filter for RM400 in Moto Air (Holland) brand is

#1003

There is an Australian ebay seller who sells Moto Air

otherwise you can buy from here

The fuel filter I'm after goes in the fuel tap inside the tank. Do they still sell them? Or do I just get a inline filter?

I think you will find that the gauze inside the tank is part of the tap assembly...normally you can clean them but I would still run a inline filter.

Fine strainer is glued in place.
