Title: YZ125C + MX125C project bikes plus extras.
Post by: Nathan S on October 13, 2010, 10:45:28 pm
See post 18/7/11 (fourth post on page 2) for significant revision!

All there, needing normal rebuild stuff.

Matching numbers, with original steel handlebars (straight!).

$600 complete, or $400 without fuel tank.

Pics in the next few days.

In Yass, southern NSW (near Canberra) Can deliver to Sydney/Wollongong/Canberra in the near future, if that helps?

I've got a spare 30mm Mikuni, but I'm not sure if I've got a spare YZ125C one - will have to check.
No decent 125C rear guards - do have a rough 125X guard if you are prepared to paint it?

Some bits a bit rougher than I remembered, so price/spec is negotiable.

Your choice of fuel tanks. I put the bog in the yellow one, and its about the same as the white one underneath. Finger points to the heaviest bog applications.

Shock seems to have good chrome, but is obviously leaking. I have other shocks if you want to take your chances with them instead.

Airbox seems intact (they often break in two).

Cylinder is on a fairly small bore - 2nd or 3rd OS, IIRC (Wiseco do up to +2.00mm).
Needs a big end, or I can supply a crank with a decent used rod in it.

Forks are the what rougher than I remembered. There's three in the pic: two legs with decent chrome on the seal area, and the third to make a pair (the good ones are both from the same side). Alternatively, if you're happy to rechrome, then there's several pairs that need rechroming - will sell with them for less money if that suits.

Seat foam isn't as bad as it looks. The old upholstery trick of using a thin layer of foam should easily hide the imperfections. New foams are available too.

You in a hurry?
If so, then the answer is "No"....
The boxes of stuff are currently buried very deeply and not easily accessed.

If you start waving cash, then I'll drag 'em out and sort through them... until then, you'll have to wait until I sort through my backlog of crap.

Now selling all of my 125C stuff.

All parts mentioned before, plus another almost complete bike including tank and airbox (missing only plastics AFAIK):
Frame,
Two swingarms,
A very good tank in place of the ok white tank previously mentioned (yellow tank still included).
Another set of wheels,
small quantity of NOS parts,
Several other new bits (chain & sprockets, old-style grips and levers, old-style tyres, VMX Plastics front # plate, seat cover etc etc)

Pics not particularly well organised, and not of everything, but will give you an idea:

Also have a 1976 MX125C project bike. Has YZ125C motor, recovered seat, good wheels with very good tyres, new chain & sprockets, grips, etc. Missing pipe, airbox and tank (can supply DT parts to get you out of trouble).
Pics on request.

$1500 for the WHOLE lot, will seperate (but like always, don't bother trying to buy just the fuel tank unless you're going to make it really worth my while)...

Nathan.

Seat foam isn`t as bad as it looks

Ah Teddles, if I was in real estate (or wanted to be), I'd have said something like "The seat foam has good bones"...

What I actually said is that it is better than it looks - including the unstated acknowledgement that it looks like crap. If I wanted to claim that its a great seat foam, I'd have said that - but I'm not, so I didn't.

Further, my statement was "isn't as bad as it looks" [in the photo], and you're basing your assessment on... what it looks like in the photo.

 ;D

Its all pretty moot when you can buy new foams from GMC for ~$100.

$750 for a complete bike made up of the best bits (your choice of bits).
$350 for a complete bike made up of the second best bits.

Or $1000 for all of the YZ-C bits.

Ebay soon.
