were can you buy new sleeves...has anyone tried l.a sleeve blanks then cut your own windows in it

Having a look back through some old posts would say ask shakeycz as he was mentioning having removed 1

so has anybody tryied it or heard of someone cutting slots in a blank sleeves? is it easy to do?

I found a second hand cylinder jug with a good sleeve in it, but I would be keen on getting the other one back up so I can have a spare.

There are people that can do these things. George Mackensie in Brisbane can make a sleeve from a blank.

Any decent cylinder sleeving outfit should be able to make 1, I'm guess the fact that more places are able to do nicasiling/electrocoating now may have meant less people wanting sleeves done
Thanks for the advise on removing the sleeve ShakeyCZ, had 1 of the sidepiper barrels apart today hoping to fit the sleeve out of my normal barrel but ended up having to reassemble it due to sleeve diameters being quite different
For anyone thinking about replacing a sleeve I'd say give it a go, it's surprisingly easy
