Title: HL500 & 43mm Forks.
Post by: Glorydaze on October 08, 2010, 02:20:37 pm
Hi Guys, I'm in search of some advise... I've got a Pro-fab Aberg 500 with 38mm yz forks & want to upgrade to 43mm.
I got ahold of a pair of 82 YZ250 forks. No triple clamps.
What are the best clamps to look for & how will they fit on the pro-fab HL500 frame?
Thanks, GD.

43mm triple clamps of any old YZ would probably come close, but this is custom rather than production bike building. My HL rep took days longer than a regular bike to assemble because every bolt and bit is a different length, size, diameter etc.

Grab a set and try them is the best, you can always swap steering stems over.
