One week to go, what a great way to end the season, racing under lights, fireworks display and then party!!! Hopefully will have both bikes to ride, the RM for pre85 and trying to get the poor old battered yammie back together for the pre75. the first combined meeting of the VMXWA and Pre85MXWA, let the sledging begin!!lol The feral photographer has even got a new flash for her birthday to get some great night time shots, she's even thinking of selling CD's of the meeting for those that are interested

my article to follow soon!!lol

My sincere thanks to everyone who supported and volunteered their help to get this show on the road. I could not have organised this years event without my good friends Paul and Natalie Copley, who tirelessly gave 100%.
Vintage MX in WA has now, in my opinion, turned the corner. I feel that the future of this sport in this state is now secure in the knowledge that the Pre85mxwa and VMXWA clubs can commit to ''rubbing shoulders'' to further the sport by running events in conjunction with each other. For those who know me well my commitment to VMX in beyond doubt and my support for both eras is reflected in what I've got in the shed. Now I have got the off season to get the Matchy and the Victor ready for next year, and to learn how to get that 510 Husky started!! ;D.
Highlight for me at the grass track would have to be Jimmy Ellis and Paul Copley in the shootout!! Good old ''balls and all'' racing!!! Bring on next year :D Merry xmas to all my vmx friends and hope Santa brings you lots of new plastics and stuff
-
thanks for a great night

Agreed, thanks to Nick, Paul and Nat and all their helpers for a fun nights racing.
Hey Tossa any pre 75 photos from the night, I did see the missus "flashing" on the infield regularly throughout the evening.

Vintage motocross boost for show
01 Dec, 2010 09:41 AM
VINTAGE Motocross of Western Australia and Pre-85mxwa hosted a combined event for the second year running at last Saturday’s Bridgetown Show.
Event promoter Nick Maxfield said the event had almost grown “too big, too fast”.
“We had a 50 per cent increase in riders on last year,” he said.
The event is the only grass track event of its kind in WA.
“We were invited by the agricultural society to add a bit of colour to the show and entertain people into the evening. I think it has worked well with the crowds staying for the fireworks and beyond”.
Results –
Pre 75 bikes over 55s years in age – Ray Easson 1, Allan Mitchell 2, Stan Read (58) 3; Pre 75 bikes C grade - Lewis Mogg 1, Frank Barron 2; Pre 75 bikes B grade - Paul Gibbs 1, Mick Goldbold 2, Ian Brown 3; Pre 75 bikes A grade - Brook Lawson 1, Daryle Mitchell 2, Dave Stephens 3.

Guys - maybe a bit of a message there also - could you look at scheduling in some grass track meets during the next season?
-
send an email to your club
-
you state the obvious Tossa but I would of thought those of you that enjoyed it so much would be advocating more - want me to do your job for you??????? :P
-
i don't have anything to do with any committee of any club, the only reason people like to see me is because there's a good chance the feral photographer will be with me. otherwise I'm a non entity.
Anyway pre85 competed at two grass track events this year and could look at some form of short track meet with the VMX club next yr in a paddock somewhere, I think, but not gospel
