HI Rog,
Surely if it is now 'in print' you can reveal the cover??
My copy is waiting at Kens house and I need to know what is waiting for me.
Come on put us out of our misery.

ditto. ;D

I don't have the willpower to load the image into Photobucket, sorry (Such a tedious process!)
It's part of a Super Rat, and one leg - in denim jeans and lace-up boot

Great job on the CD 7 Book, Roger ;D ;D
-
What a genius.....Love ya work Rog. (I snuck a look at Ajays copy this morning.) I love the B/W Tony T shot of my Cheney. Soooo artsy fartsy!
-
Yep, she's a ripper. Thanks Doggy D. Spent most of the day checking it out in between working! So many great shots. I think I even saw me on my bike in one shot... a tiny yellow smudge in the background. Sigh...
Good to see so many faces and names in there too. But... Glenn Vollengroober??? Who IS that guy?
-
I'm personally disappointed.
We just sat at the pub and flicked through it over lunch and my wife reckons it looks like a great weekend, a hell of a lot of fun and now she wants to come next year! :(
Thanks a bloody lot, Rog!! :D :D
Seriously, top job mate. It really captured the feel of the whole weekend. ;D

So does that mean we will see the REAL Tony?
I bet some of the 'big stories' will have to be watered down a bit now? ;D

Fabulous compilation of photo's
Great job Roger and also great job by the contributing photographers
The CD format and week-end is just so much "fun"
-
Great book Roger, Ken past one on to me for being a sponsor (many thanks again Ken) and have not put it down.
The mix of black and white / colour shots make it all that much better. Also like all the old ads and foot notes.
Will this be a part of CD from now on? would be a great collector.

I had a better look through it last night and I still can't believe how much I missed at the event! :D
My favourite photos (out of the dozens that I love!) are the the one of Phil from Shannon's and the deteriorated plug cap. Both have a great 'feel' to them and both are by D. Digger.
btw Firko, I didn't see the Cheney shot you're talking about in there. ??? You sure you didn't dream that bit, or am I just blind? :-\

Holy Shit!!!
Just got my copy of Roger Harveys CD7 Pictorial and i just cant put it down. Back to front, front to rear time and time again.
If you have any interest in VMX, whether you were at Conondale or not this pictorial representation of both VMX & Classic Dirt is a MUST HAVE. Roger's (and the many contibutors) interpretation of what happened that weekend has been captured in a way i diddn't think would be possible.
As Molly would say, "do yourself a favour" and get this book as i'm sure that in years to come it will figure in everyone collection of must haves.
AWESOME!
-
Got my copy this morning ;D WOW thanks so much Roger it is absolutley brilliant ;D The book really captures the spirit of what would have to be the best CD yet .
Thanks again Roger and all the contributors i hope it can become a regular addition to the CD events Bill.
-
Got mine, Brilliant. I can't believe how much it helped me to remember about the W/end.
Just get a copy, It's worth it.
Thanks Roger
PS I'll be in touch for an A4 copy of those track drawings 8)

Ditto all of the above! Unable to get there this year so this was the next best thing. Wish I could think of something profound to say. I will tell you this though. I let a mate who is new to the scene and a CD virgin have a look (actually he's borrowed it!) and he's already talking up a road trip for CD8 (where ever it's held!) Well done again Roger. Cheers Jerry

I've got my copy and it's a bit of a buzz to see myself in a book about my hobby/sport.
But for all I did think of DJ and Bill. They came from another country and Bill even bought a bike sight unseen, brought his hop up parts over with him and rebuilt the bike before riding it for the event! That's hard core!
-
I've bought five plus another two after I type this....I've sent two to America, one to the UK and another to NZ, now my mate in America wants another one for his buddy. Everyone loves it Roger, methinks you may have created an annual monster!
btw Firko, I didn't see the Cheney shot you're talking about in there. You sure you didn't dream that bit, or am I just blind?
No it was me.....Before I got my copies I was in Jonesy's office looking at his copy while we were also flicking through your photos on the computer screen...somehow my mind computed that I'd seen the photo in the book. It had me rooted....I must have gone through the book a dozen times looking for it again before it clicked as to what had happened.
You wait until you're my age Tony!
-
Just brought a copy as a momento and was really stocked to see two fabulous photos of myself in the book plus one of my head in the headshots in the back. Must have some thing to do with me riding the Hodaka Super Rat (not the front cover one). Had a blast on the pre 75 track racing the other Super Rat and yes I was faster until I blew both the back shocks out jumping it over the fantastic jump after the big tree.
Does the publisher have a bit of a soft spot for Hodakas. ?
Great work on the book. Thanks
-
I bought 4 copies Mark.......part of the retirement fund ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

ah---total fun time you where having :P ;D

VMX247 ... there are bout 30 books left
Firko ... I could never do another year of this - the workload was extraordinary. Just the mailing seems to have taken up about five working days so far!
mtbrider ... I used Hodaka on cover specifically because of the denim pants and lace-up boot. (I liked that "Super Rat" was in view too.) All the Rat's reds then dictated that covers be red to match.
So then I used photos with reds in them for back cover.
Thanks everyone for positive comments. As I've said before, I'm sorry for the high price - results of using color with a short print run.
My attitude to book is that .. it was something that just had to be made. It's just a photographic record of the event. And what an event it was, this year!
Thanks again ...
-
Awesome event, awesome book to remember it by, it'ill be hard to top it.....still needs to be longer....are you listening boys?
-
Excellent book - worth every cent and more. Thanks
-
Ditto what they said. Reading it was just like being there but without Ted's snoring

Dead right! Until you see it, you can't imagine the vibe of the event that comes out of that book.
If we can make your change your mind somehow, Rog, I'm more than happy to do whatever I can to help.
-
Awesome effort Rog. The book really captures the vibe of the event.
Cheers
Shaun

A time capsule , and worth ever cent . Thanks roger

For anyone still needing a copy ... I just printed 25 more. I have about 19 books left now, and then that's it - all done
All the best, CD-goers!
