Yep, me too, with bells on , but this time I'm gunna have a skid around and , yes Pete, I will wear me red scarf.
Al.
-
Definitely, but this time on the other side of the fence.
I had a great time but being a Pit Bitch is not me.
Al, just don't hang that red scarf out of your back pocket.
-
No way, Steve, however that scarf was me trademark in the '70s

Dirt track on the Saturday and VMX on the Sunday, Now that would be a hoot 8)
-
Great track, I`d be there ;D
-
Would Consider it for sure. But starting and finishing time would need to be a bit more freindlier. Being able to run under lights would make it do-able for sure. Love riding under lights and the track was at its best in the second round after 7pm.
You could do a double the dirt or TT style, but that would mean missing out the sliders, and that 4 valve JAwa in the slider class with the 20ft rooster tail from turn one all the way to the finish line at angle was a highlight to watch all weekend

what about another Nationals in 2012 for example????
Id be there in a flash
Tanner ;D

will the surf air happen next year? if not how about replacing it with a meet at griffith.
-
I'd like to think I'd have a go. I don't have a bike that could do dirt track at the moment but I've been thinking of getting something to do some track next year. Maybe one of them TT500s, or a Pre 78 250.
-
Whatever you've already got Graeme just put a trials tyre on it and you're ready to go.
Do it, you'll enjoy it.
-
Nah, my poor little 125 is way underpowered. I reckon she'd blow up with me flogging it like it'd need. She'll be right, I'll get something more suited and get into it next season.

GRAEME
i rode my yz125x and had i ball it was fun and i am way over sized for a 125
pre 78 125
pre 85 125
it finished all but 1 in 10 races

Without detracting from the attraction of holding the NSW Classic Titles at Griffith, what about holding a Classic 3Hr race at some stage?
Griffith is probably the only track capable of holding a long distance event due to the "VEGIE" oil they use on the track.
I'm keen.

Track would last bikes would not !!!!!. Be great to do the Condobolin theme from 10 years ago Dirt Track Sat & Motocross Sunday on June longweekend got both disilplines covered at one venue.
-
Thats the point Dave, you don't need a super fast engine but have to build one that will reach the flag.
The old girls could finish a 6 hour back in their day, no reason why they couldn't do 3 now.
Maybe the riders might struggle to go the distance?
Just thinking out loud.
-
Steve,
The parts for these old girls are like rocking horse poo now. Maybe we all ride XL125's to keep the speed low & expense to a minimum but maintain reliabilty.
-
Posty's?
2 Classes, pre75 & pre85. Each 2 man team must have 1 rider over 50.
I reckon its a goer.
-
Hey Steve
I bet you would have Phil H as your co- rider in that one !

If it was riding posties, Phil Herne would be perfect, still a professional motorcycle rider after nearly 40 years.
I didn't mean pre 75-85 posties, that'd be as boring as batshit, funny for a short while.
I still reckon a 3 hour is a goer.
Goooo the Rooooosters.
