Title: WR 400 1986 gear box oil How much?

Can anyone tell me how much oil is need for the clutch and gearbox for a Husky WR400 1986?
Had a spec sheet but have lost it some where ??????? ???

What grade of oil are people running in the trannys of their huskies?

Hi Husky 500

I put in Motul 2-stroke gearbox oil TRANSOIL SAE 10W30

Seem to be ok?

I think we are all using a variety of different oils and grades of oils in the trannies, but it is important as the bikes are good at stuffing gears.

 :) The oil recommended in the book is Engine oil SAE 20 but it is bloody thin and the book was written in Sweden where temp's are colder so I have used SAE 30 and never had a problem it is cheap and readily available at any mower shop or burnings it is the same oil used in Briggs & stratton mowers.
The biggest gear box wrecker is the rider not using the clutch :o be kind to your old bike  ::)
