How many bikes have you ever seen started by turning the rear wheel by hand. Good to hear bikes I've never seen in action running

you have never been to a speedway or dirt track race in the 70s eveyone who had a jap or jawa 500cc did.i have in the past.better than pushing it

Do they still start Speedway bikes by spinning the back wheel by hand?
I still remember having grazes on the inside of my forearm, if your bike was tuned well it was easy but if not, push.

Yeah Steve ,
The arm grazes when the bike was a bit cranky to start !!! , got them when I was trying to start me Godden , after a rebuild , by spinning the wheel in front of a couple of the local lads down the coast, they thought I was crazy, until it fired and ran !!

Just watched it again, love the sound of the Duggie and Rudge but the JAP sounds best, I'm not biased much !! Love the manual choke on the Jap !!, Castrol M ,  " goes like effing treacle !!'

YEP, DONT THOSE BLOKES LOVE THERE OLD SPEEDWAY BIKES.
