Title: So this bloke at work said do you know anyone into VMX

And I say yeah me!

Then he says he's got a couple of old bikes and would I know anyone who would be interested.

And I say maybe. What are they? And he says Maico's. And I say what sort of Maico's? And he says 501's.

So I say nah not interested  :D





But I'll ask around.




The story is that these have been sitting since 1976. He said that he started them up a few years ago and that they should both run with a little work.

One has been fitted with a 350 motor back in the day but the original 501 motor is sitting complete on the ground next to the bike. The other looks to be all original except that it has a TLS front brake fitted. He said the original should be there somewhere though. The 350 one was yellow that he painted red. The other one is red.

He knows that these are worth good money but not really how much and I don't really know what the market for them is like at the moment. I told him I would let you all know and if anyone is truly interested I can put you in touch.

The bikes are in Sydney.
