Well my daughter moved out years ago, and the missus left for 9 weeks of volenteer work in Tanzania on Friday, so its only me, the two dogs and the cat at home at present. This means it is effectively Fathers Day till the missus get back in November as I can go play in the shed when ever I like, ride the bikes when I like and buy what ever bit bit I thing I need.

Happy Fathers Day all you dads.

Spent the morning with my son in Jaycar investigating 12 volt systems, then Bunnings buying bits & bobs. Came home to a Roast Lamb lunch lovingly prepared by my better half with baked sweet potatoes, pumpkin, potatoes, coliflower & broccoli topped with creamy cheese sauce and my 12 year old daughter has baked a cheese cake for sweets made the way mum used to make it with crushed Jatz biscuits as the crust. Now to watch an afternoon of Footy.

Life is good.

Slept in this morning then a quite day with the family. A subscription to VMX, a fold up trolley for swap meets plus some other odds and bobs, all up a good day.
First time visitor to C/D this year, "so" do any of you blokes wear a name tag or some kind of id.  Have to pick up some bits and pieces and this would sure make it easier to find you.

Last weekend no.1 daughter gave me a copy of "My mother warned me about blokes like me" by Boris Mihailovic.
Best bloody good laugh in a long time---you gotta get a copy!!
Great quotes like 'scared a steamy kilo of excrement out of me' and modern Harley riders 'dress like gay pirates' are peppered through-out along with plenty of anecdotes of wild and scarey rides.
However the clincher was "I had no business pretending I was a dirt-rider. I wasn't even the odour off the shit of a dirt-rider" Just before he set off on an adventure ride to Phillip Island.
Get a copy and a good chair......
