Title: Curly3 Gone.
Post by: Curly3 on September 04, 2010, 08:02:29 pm
G'day, the artist formerly known as Curly3 here.
When I initially joined I took on a name that had a link to my Father.
He was known as Curly and I'm his 3rd son.
Now that I've been involved for a while and am dissapointed to find how Short Circuit, ( Dirt Track ), has become a minor player on the cene and I want to see it get back to where it belongs.
I was brought up on the smell of Methanol & R40 and the sound of Steel Shoes shuffling through the pits.
I've ridden at one race meeting in 28 years which was last weekend but my new forum name reflects where my passion lies.
Sorry dad.
Cheers, Steve

I was wondering who belonged to that post and went looking for it a few days ago....so was it as good as it was 28 years ago or better  ;D ??   :P
One of the legend riders here at the 15th VMXWA Anniversary ,was telling a young vmxer (20 odd yrs) to keep up with his speedway riding, as it all contributes to experience and confidence..really interesting guy to listen too,so calm and relaxed a Kiwi too  ;D
cheers

It was great, I had a buzz for several days.
I shat bricks for a couple of laps then settled down and it was like yesterday.
I must admit that my new name doesn't reflect my current riding style, YET.

There is small chance I'll get down there but definitely not riding.
It'll be done right I'm sure, the Griffith boys have put in a lot of effort.
