I couldn't find the original thread on exhorbitant prices but I nearly fell over when I saw $700USD paid for a set of NOS Scott motocross boots!!!!

Now maybe it is my scottish ancestry but this one surprised me?

 :) I used to reel in disbelief at some of the prices paid for NOS parts and era accessories. Nowdays nothing surprises me..have to remember most of the guys buying this stuff are pretty well sorted financially so 'money is no object' or 'it's only money'. These words have been mentioned to me on quite a few occasions over the past few years and I still can only imagine that having this much money would take away a lot of the enjoyment of the hunt for bits and the piecing things together bit by bit that follows..different strokes I guess but for $700 clams I'd be wanting top of the line new new! stock :-\
