I reckon' Neale. I'm sure the time's coming when these trick little bikes will really hit the scene. The 84' Honda looks very 'worksy' and these bikes had an awful lot of big bike technology put into 'em.
Go for it..... ;)

It is very cool, eh?  If I do import it, I must remember not to post any pictures of the container being loaded on internet forums, because that's a sure fire way to find my house!  ;D

Yes. Be vewy, vewy quiet. Don't let the cat out of the bag by letting people know that some people on one side of the world are buying bikes from other people on the other side of the world..... :o

If you like 80cc Hondas then yeah why not. Only you will know the answer if its worth it to you buy or not. Someone who doesnt care about these sort of bikes may say its worth $300 to them, but then there is Honda mini collectors out there who would pay $2000 for it and its worth more to them. Each bike is worth a different price to each person. What some person is willing to pay for a bike may be a lot more than what someone else is willing to pay. If someone had one of these as a kid, they may be willing to quite a large amount to get one of these.

I'm pretty sure it's an 85 model, I think the 86 was the first with the disc. I had one of each.

Yes. Be vewy, vewy quiet. Don't let the cat out of the bag by letting people know that some people on one side of the world are buying bikes from other people on the other side of the world..... :o

...and if anyone posts up any links to those forums I'll log in with a clever alias and try hard not to make it totally obvious by playing a complete stranger who happens to be very passionate about the subject and by using the exact same style of grammarless communication as I usually do...   :D

Anyway, in-jokes aside, I'm negotiating with the import guy who usually imports car parts for me for my Subaru.  The bike is in Japan and he's the only bastard I know who could deal with the seller.  It's a good price, but the shipping could be the painful bit.  How much does it cost to throw it in a container full of turbos, busted supras and oversized exhausts?!

Thanks for the input folks, I guessed it was an 85 as my old man's CR250 of the same year (which he sadly no longer owns) had the same graphics...  it really does look like a great little bike.
